MAAP apprentices worked in coalition with parent volunteers and GPS coalition partners to halt the closure of historic Woolslair K-5 Elementary School, which serves the highest percentage of students of color in the city of Pittsburgh, PA. Currently, the coalition is working with the school board to establish Woolslair as a STEAM school specializing in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
