What We Do

CTWO’s core programs include:

Movement Activist Apprenticeship Program (MAAP)

Established in 1985, MAAP is an 8-week long intensive training program that provides people of color with the opportunity to develop skills and experience in grassroots organizing. MAAP has nurtured the leadership of close to 500 community and labor organizers of color who now hold significant positions at social justice organizations, labor unions, philanthropic and academic institutions, and governmental agencies throughout the country.

Community Action Trainings (CAT)

A 3-day intensive introduction to grassroots organizing, hosted year-round in regional settings.

Customized Trainings and Consultations

Individualized support for staff, board, and members of grassroots organizations in need of organizing and campaign development assistance.
